Because we now live in a global marketplace and countries have requirements for MSDS preparation that differ, CSA can prepare MSDSs for a variety of regulatory jurisdictions. In addition to all the information provided in a Basic MSDS, Multinational MSDSs can be prepared to meet the regulations and requirements of the European Union, Australia's National Occupational Health & Safety Commission, and Japan. The MSDS format CSA uses meets all the requirements of the jurisdiction in which it will be used, including US ANSI Standard Z400.1-2004, Canadian HPA and CPR, European Union Comission Directive 2001/58/EEC, Australian National Code of Practice for the Preparation of Material Safety Data Sheets 2nd Edition [NOHSC:2011(2003)], and Japanese Standards Association JIS Z 7250:2005. CSA is also closely following the Globally Harmonized System of Classification and Labelling of Chemicals (GHS) implementation, which will standardize the format of MSDSs in all countries who ratify the system.
CSA can write MSDSs that include requirements under multiple jurisdictions or write individual MSDSs for each country/jurisidiction in which your products will be sold. We can also provide specific national chemical inventory listing/non-listing information for certain countries.
